St. Joseph School kicked off the new school year with its first-ever Family STEAM night. STEAM combines science, technology, engineering, arts and math in a fun and challenging learning environment! Families worked together on a unique project - save Mr. Frog from rising water by building him a platform out of toothpicks, index cards and 12-inch straws. His new home, decorated by using only crayons, had to be exactly 10 inches high and Mr. Frog had to stay perched on the landing for at least one minute! All of the families did an amazing job and presented each of their frog-saving strategies to the other participants!
